The Sightings Log

The Sightings Log

Unconfirmed. Undeniable. Ongoing.

He's been at every field, most  practices, and every tournament weekend longer than any of us have been showing up. Early morning practices before the sun's fully up. The far tree line during a Saturday bracket. The back row of a team photo from a hundred years ago that nobody's ever quite been able to explain. Most people miss him — he's fast for something his size, and he doesn't stick around for a second look.

A few don't miss him, though. Scroll through what's been caught on camera so far: half in frame, out of focus, gone before anyone could point him out to the person standing right next to them. We don't confirm anything here. We don't have to. The footage speaks for itself, mostly by refusing to.

Think you've spotted him at your own field? Send us the photo. Every submission gets added to the log below, and the count keeps climbing whether we like it or not. He's out there. You just have to pay attention.

Sighting #1 — Vancouver, 1914

The earliest confirmed sighting on file. The Vancouver Lacrosse Club poses for their Minto Cup portrait, and somehow nobody on the team seems to think anything's out of place. No name in the roster below matches. No one's ever explained it. He's just there, blending in, looking about as unbothered as everyone else.
